This game was truly a game of runs. Oxon Hill jumped out to a 15-3 lead in the first, thanks to Marlon Ellerbee’s hot start. Potomac, however, would respond with an 11-0 run of their own to cut the deficit. Oxon Hill led 33-26 at the half. In the third quarter, Ronald Polite stole the show with a momentum changing dunk, a dunk that led to an 13-0 run for the Clippers to end the third and put them up 19 heading into the 4th. Potomac would storm back and cut their deficit to three in the fourth, but Ronald Polite would seal the deal with a tough left hand finish. With the win, Oxon Hill will play Eleanor Roosevelt in the county championship next Wednesday. Polite had a game-high 23 points. Potomac’s Corey Dyches had a team-high 19 points in the losing effort.
