It’s often said that it’s hard to beat a team three times. Today, Prep came out the gates swinging, taking a commanding 9-0 lead and never looking back. Early on in the game, Prep’s sophomore phenom, Khani Rooths, took matters into his own hands and was able to get some easy dunks on the inside. In the second quarter, Washington and Lee commit AJ Thomas started to heat up, pouring in 9 of the team’s 16 points in the quarter. Prep would go into the half up 15. The second half featured more of the same as Prep would go on to get a lot of transition baskets off of deflections and steals. Khani Rooths, who had a game-high 20 points, had a couple of monstrous dunks and AJ Thomas, who had 17 points, hit a couple of more threes to finish a good shooting night for the senior. Landon sophomore guard, Joseph Coleman, led the Bears with 12 points and senior guard Mike Gray added 9 points.
