Wise 2018 G Sherwyn Devonish drilled a buzzer beater three at the end of regulation to force OT but ER outscored Wise 13-0 in OT to claim the Maryland 4A South, Section 2 Final and advance to Friday’s regional championship vs Bladensburg.
The 13-0 run ER had in OT wasn’t their biggest run of the game. After he score was tied 2-2, Roosevelt went on a 16-0 run to take an 18-2 lead. However Wise battled back and had a two possession lead with less then three minutes remaining in the game.
ER had four in double figures. Isaiah Gross led the way with 23. Juston Bailey had 19, Cameron Brown 15, and Jaden Faulkner 11.
Sherwyn Devonish who went scoreless in the first half led Wise with 14.
