Gonzaga got out to a fast start, taking a commanding 11-2 lead in the first. However, Jordan Hawkins and DeMatha would respond with a punch of their own. As Gonzaga tried to create a larger lead, Hawkins would provide DeMatha with a timely bucket in route to a 14 point half. The second half was close early on, with both teams trading buckets. DeMatha would get their first lead of the game off of a Jacoi Hutchinson corner three. The Stags would take the lead and not look back. Seniors Chuck Harris and Myles Stute missed the front end of their 1-and-1s, which were crucial as the Eagles were trying to mount a comeback. In a losing effort, Chuck Harris would finish a game-high 24 points. Jordan Hawkins led the stags with 19.
