With 4:06 remaining in the 2nd quarter Kennedy held a 46-24 lead over Paint Branch. Over the next 2 1/2 quarters Paint Branch erased the 22 point deficit to come away with an improbable 80-77 win over a Kennedy squad that entered the game undefeated. Four Kennedy starters would foul out in addition to one reserve. With 5 Cavaliers disqualified Kennedy coach Diallo Nelson would have to go deep on his bench. Paint Branch would finish going 24-41 from the free throw line while Kennedy was 9-15. Paint Branch was led by a trio who scored 14 each; 2019 G Richard Dudley, 2019 G Marley Sume, and 2018 F Xavier Reaves. 2017 G Jonathan Mustamu scored a game high 26 for Kennedy.
