Severn jumped out to an early lead over NCA. Severn’s Nas Sturdivant imposed his will early on being able to score at all three levels. Jacob Randall also got going, which helped push their lead to 10 at the half. However, in the second half, NCA was able to get stops on the defensive end. Amarre Fridie and Ruban Colon provided the offensive punch to get NCA back into the game and ultimately take the lead over in the third quarter. NCA managed to seal the game with a couple of defensive stops and they were able to knock down their free throws to close out Severn. Amarre Fridie, who had a game-high 16 points, earned MVP honors.
