Capitol Hoops will be on hand at the 1st Annual Charm City” Senior” Classic this coming Sunday, April 1st at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.
We interviewed Dwayne Wise , one of the top advocates for DMV area hoops and founder of the Charm City “Senior” Classic. Wise is also the Director of Scouting for UA Bmorefinest AAU, which produced top talents such as Aquille Carr (Seton Hall) and his younger cousin Daquan Cook (UNLV). Wise and Tunnel Visions CEO Kyle Williams wanted to bring a non sneaker affiliated All Star event, showcasing uncommitted/committed seniors from DMV, and other parts of the U.S.
Wise said “Kyle Williams is one of the areas top young entrepreneurs, and someone I call my little brother. We are bringing in some Elite talent to St Frances Academy, come Sunday.”
Friendly HS’s Victor Blakely, a senior who carries a 3.5 GPA, and is being touted by IVY league Schools, is just one example. Also,expected to participate is Andrew White, (Kansas) and super talented commit Demarquise Johnson (Washington State). The games were originally scheduled for 1pm 3pm, but have been moved to 4:30 and 6:30 to accommodate out of town talents. Capitol Hoops will be on hand to cover one of the areas premier showcases. At halftime Tunnel Vision will present a scholarship to the Boys and Girls Club, and promote a game to Showcase upcoming talents.
