The game got off to a slow start with both teams shaking off the rust from having not played a lot of organized basketball due to the coronavirus. However, Episcopal would start to the settle in early and grab a small lead behind the play of Princeton commit Garrett Johnson, who led all scorers with 21. In the second half, Chris Gamble would get going for Friends and kept the game close. Down the stretch, Dartmouth commit Ryan Cornish stepped up for Friends and converted on seven straight free throws before delivering the tying 3-point basket inside of a minute. Episcopal’s Garrett Johnson would respond with an and-one of his own with just 5 seconds left in the game which just about sealed the game. UCF commit Darius Johnson chipped in 10 and Chace Davis had 11 points for Episcopal. Gamble had a team-high 16 points and Ryan Cornish added 11 for Friends in the losing effort.
