Down five with just over a minute remaining in their season, Eleanor Roosevelt staged a comeback for the ages. Jaamir Butler laid in a basket, plus the foul. On the following free throw, Butler chased down his own rebound and cut the lead to one. On the following Raiders possession, Isaiah Gross was fouled on a three-point attempt. The Roosevelt senior converted all three free throws and the Raiders escaped Dulaney’s final two shot attempts to escape with an improbable 63-61 win. Gross led Roosevelt with with 16 points and added 10 rebounds. Senior Cameron Brown chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds. The Raiders will face Broadneck in Saturday night’s state title game. Dulaney’s Che Evans led all scorers with 7 points.
