For the second consecutive year Capitol Hoops will release it’s MVP, 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams from this weekends state semi’s and state finals at the Comcast Center.
MOP — JJ Epps — Magruder
The 5’4” point guard was Mr. Clutch for Magruder and was the key reason why they won in the over-time session in the semi-finals. Down one with 40 seconds remaining Epps stepped up to the free throw line and banged two free throws to win the state championship. He would later add two to increase the lead to three. He was also the game high leading scorer in the state championship. He’s only a junior.
