Oxon Hill Routs Eleanor Roosevelt in 2020 PG County Championship

Eleanor Roosevelt is a staple in the PG County Championship at Wise. Their opponent is not. ER has faced numerous oppositions in the annual bragging rights game. The 2020 representative from the 3A/2A/1A side was the Oxon Hill Clippers who defeated ER in convincing fashion behind Ronald Polite’s 30 points. Polite notched career point #1,000 along the way, a pull up jumper with a minute and change remaining in the second quarter. Polite would go on to score 16, in the 3rd, when Oxon Hill blew it open. ER had one run in the 4th but the Clippers pulled away. Mike Sumner was superb as well, going for 18 after missing the past five games for the Clippers. Jaden Myers added 12 on four 3’s. ER was led by Joel McNair with 12 points. Lume Lewis added 10, and Quinton Mincey 9. Both teams begin their 2020 Maryland state playoff run next Tuesday.
