High School Hoops Festival @ DeMatha Tournament Recap

In the tournaments headline game host DeMatha did a number on Jamesville-Dewitt of Syracuse, New York in a game that featured two future Syracuse Orange players.  DeMatha’s Jerami Grant took home MVP honors while J-D’s blue chip recruit DaJuan Coleman was plagued with foul trouble.

DeMatha was too strong on this night as they defeated Jamesville-Dewitt 83-57.  DeMatha was led by senior guard Kameron Taylor with 17 points.  J-D was led by Coleman and Wake Forest commit Tyler Cavanaugh who each scored 19.

N.C.State commit Tyler Lewis led Oak Hill with 22 points as the Warriors downed Grace Prep out of Arlington, Texas by a score of 68-59.  UCLA-bound Jordan Adams chipped in 19 for Oak Hill.

Along with DeMatha Paul VI looked like one of the more impressive teams on Saturday as they went 11 deep and ousted West Charlotte in a battle of attrition, winning by a score of 65-58.  Paul VI was led George Mason Commit Patrick Holloway who went for 21.

Earlier in the Day Episcopal needed a big game out of Kethan Savage as Wake Forest commit Arnaud Adala Moto continued to struggle.  Kethan Savage took the team on his back and scored half his teams 44  points in leading Episcopal to a 6 point victory over Benedictine of Richmond, VA.


In the tournaments first game Bullis defeated Riverdale Baptist 62-59.  Bullis had four players in double figures.
