Wilson Overcomes Slow Start to Cruise Past Eastern in DCIAA Quarterfinals (2/14/19)

Makhi Mitchell tallied 16 points, 12 of which came in a dominant second half, as Wilson pulled away from Eastern in Thursday night’s DCIAA quarterfinal, 62-44. Eastern faced only a 2-point deficit headed into the halftime period, but a focus on paint production and a renewed energy for the Tigers proved to be too much to overcome. Senior guard Romaro Hutchinson had 14 points and recently named DCIAA Player of the Year, Jay Heath Jr., had seven points. Sophomore guard Marion Gary had a game-high 23 points for the Ramblers.
