Kethan Savage Dazzles — Episcopal Downs W.T. Woodson 61-52

Episcopal’s Kethan Savage put on a show on Wednesday night going for 21 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, a block, and a few monster dunks.

Expectations are very high for Episcopal this season and why wouldn’t they be with the tandem of Kethan Savage and Arnaud Adala Moto both returning for their senior season.  On Wednesday night they took on W.T. Woodson and Kethan Savage dominated in every aspect of the game.  He started the game off by setting up teammates for easy buckets.  As the second half rolled around he took over offensively going for 11 of his game high 21.  At one point midway through the third quarter he brought the house down with a facial on a Woodson defender.

Wake Forest commit Arnaul Adala Moto double-doubled as he went for 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Before getting hurt midway through the third, guard Doug Chappell connected on three 3-balls.  Episcopal looked to be in mid-season form.

Woodson had 2 players in double figures and 6 players score at least 5 points, but they never led.  They cut the lead to 5 with less then two minutes to go after going on an 8-0 run, but that’s the closest they would get.

Up next for Episcopal is a showdown with Richmond, VA powerhouse Benedictine on Friday before they head to DeMatha on Sunday to participate in the 5th annual High School Hoops Festival.  They will be paired up with a dangerous Paul VI team on Sunday at 2:45pm
