Boys and Girls HS of NY defeats Wise in DOUBLE OT THRILLER

Boys and Girls HS of NY faced the Wise Pumas in an MLK weekend tournament held at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. As expected, this game was a very intense, back and forth battle which ended on controversial terms. In the beginning of this video,

Boys and Girls appears to hit a three pointer that ties the game in regulation to force OT. However, both of the player’s feet were on the line (as seen in the video) when he took the shot. One overtime period wasn’t enough to determine a winner, so this matchup went on to a second overtime in which Boys and Girls defeated Wise, 82-75.

Marcus Patterson of Boys and Girls led his team with 22 points, followed by teammate Marlon Sewell who had 16.

Sherwyn Devonish of the Wise Pumas led all scorers with 27 points. Teammate Fred Crowell had 21 points to his name.
