Perry Hall Holds Off Springbrook Amid Controversy to win 4A North Regional Chip 3/4/16

Perry Hall held on to beat Springbrook and win the 2016 Maryland 4A North regional championship, their first regional championship in school history. But it wasn’t without controversy. With 6:38 left in the 4th quarter Perry Hall star (and the game’s leading scorer with 19) was whistled for a foul. The scoreboard read 5 fouls and everyone on the Springbrook side thought he was done. He was immediately subbed out for. About 4 (game) minutes later the officials let him check back in, despite a protest from Springbrook. He would go on to be the difference in the closing minutes of the game and will be leading his Gators to their first ever state semi-final game.
