Largo Gets Huge Second Half to Pull Away From Potomac
Largo and Potomac was billed up as the best two players in PG County going at it. But when Randall Broddie didn’t dress for Tuesday nights game it became Largo vs Potomac.
Largo’s superstar, senior forward Abdulai Bundu came out of the box very slow, scoring only four first half point on three field goal attempts. But he came out possessed in the second half, getting to the free throw line ten times in the third quarter and even attempting and making his first career three-pointer, a 45 foot heave to end the quarter that banked in, capping off Largo’s 32-6 third quarter explosion.
Randall Broddie missed his second consecutive game with a lingering shoulder injury. David Rose picked up the scoring slack going for 13, and Gary Robertson chipped in 11.
Bundu finished the game with 27 points. The game ended with 50.8 seconds remaining on the clock after refs called the game because police couldn’t calm down a situation in the stands that they felt was to big a distraction to continue.
