Churchill Improves to 4-2 With Win Over B-CC

It’s been a tough season so far for B-CC and first year head coach Sean Tracy, but there were things to build off of in their 18 point loss to Churchill on Friday night in Potomac.

Churchill outscored the Barons 22-6 in the second quarter.  If you take the second quarter out of the game Churchill won by a single bucket.  Both teams are relatively young and it was evident tonight as both teams committed way to many turnovers.  But hey, it is December, and these teams have a couple of months to gel before the games really begin to matter.

Churchill put three players in double figures.  Sophomore Jesse Locke and junior Allen Njumbe each scored 15 for the Bulldogs.  Junior guard Malik Harris added 14.  Churchill coach Matt Miller was very pleased with the way his team attacked the boards on both sides of the court.

The Barons were led by junior Jared Stape and senior Brandon Takang, each who scored 10.

Merry Christmas to everyone from Capitol Hoops.

We will be covering a couple Christmas tournaments next week and bringing you December’s highlights of the month.
