  • St. John’s Continues To Roll, Hands DeMatha its Second Loss of Season

    St. John's and DeMatha may have their best teams concurrently since the Chris Wright, Austin Freeman days, circa 2006-2007.  While Paul VI seems to be the team to beat in the WCAC, St. John's and DeMatha are certainly capable of winning a WCAC crown this year and with both teams ranked top 6 in the Washington Post.  It wouldn't shock many to see these two play again deep in the WCAC tournament.

  • Maret Slows Down a White-Hot St. Andrews

    St. Andrews entered play on Friday night with a 12-1 record, and ranked in the Washington Post.  Maret was ranked ahead of St. Andrew's despite an 11-5 record, but they were able to defeat the only team that had beaten St. Andrew's; Saint James.

  • Q Smith Makes Big Debut as Potomac Wins a Wild One Versus Crossland

    A week ago, Quadree Smith was manning the paint for Paul VI, a top 10 national power.  Tonight the big man said he felt like he was "at home" as his Potomac Wolverines won an up-tempo battle at Crossland High School that saw the two teams trade leads for much of the game.

  • DeMatha Stays Undefeated With 67-50 Victory Over Arch-Rival Gonzaga

    After missing almost three weeks with a thumb injury Gonzaga finally got back their back-court leader, junior Bryant Crawford on Tuesday night.  But Crawford was rusty, and DeMatha was dominant as they remained undefeated behind a huge fourth quarter in which they outscored the Eagles 26-12.
