Washington , DC– Under Armour B-more Panthers teammates Allen Costley and KeAndre Gibson were too much to handle for opposing 15&U teams.
Allen Costley (2014, U/A Bmore) Costley is the vocal leader on is a well rounded Under Arnour B-more Panthers club. The 6’3″ small forward has a freakish wingspan to compliment his athleticism in the 2014 class. Costley has a no-fear attitude that many from the Charm City have seemed to inherit.
Led U/A to a 76-66 win over Ivey XIII netting 16pts including one monster finish off an alley oop from teammate Keandre Gibson.
KeAndre Gibson – U/A Bmore – Gibson showed off his best attribute , ball handling. The 5’7″ point guard was unguardable off the dribble and although he is fraile at best , Gibson could develop into a big time setup point guard.
Tommy Heard added 12 points in the win , the 6’3″ Panther has not shown whether he is a wing or a post at this point. [/format]
Tre Thomas – DC Assault Blue
Thomas has seperated himself as the go to guy on DC Assault’s Blue squad , the 6’0″ guard notched a morning high 19pts in their thrashing of Fundemental Hoops 77-14. One of the best scorers in the 2014 class. Teammate Raymond Hines is on the radar after adding15pts.
Aaron Briggs, a 5’11” shooting guard from Ivey XIII has been quitely gaining recongnition over the summer and despite not having his best performances this past weekend , Briggs was solid. 13pts in their win over VA Assault before struggling against U/A Bmore.
Mert Ozkaynak – 6’0″ VA Assault
Mert looked smooth as a pure shooter out of the 2014 class scoring 16pts in VA Assault’s loss to Ivey 23. The 6’0″ guard is a transfer from Turkey and a varsity basketball player at TC Williams this past season. Teammate Chief Amoah , a 5’10” point guard added 12pts and when playing under control looked like one of the better prospects in 2014.
