Sources Claim Aquille Carr Selects Seton Hall
Capitol Hoops 2010/2011 player of the year Aquille Carr has given a verbal to Seton Hall University according to multiple sources. Just before 2pm today (Friday, January 6th) Carr made his announcement via twitter.
However, these rumors were quickly shot down by Patterson head coach Harry Martin. “That’s not coming from us, we are trying to set something up for next Thursday. I think there are still some things he is considering.” According to anonymous sources there is a press conference set for 10:30 AM next Thursday at Patterson High School where Carr will make a formal announcement with his intentions to play for Seton Hall.
At this point nothing is binding as Carr is only a junior and could re-open his recruitment up if any factors change. Carr had been considering a lot of schools who were hot on his path. The leading contenders were Memphis, Maryland, Baylor, South Florida and a host of others.
It just so happens that Capitol Hoops is currently in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Carr and his Patterson Clippers will play Price of Los Angeles, California in the final game of Saturday’s Brandon Jennings Under Armour Invitational. As more information becomes available Capitol Hoops will update this story. Capitol Hoops will also be on hand for full coverage of Patterson and Baltimore’s St. Frances as they compete in the invitational.
